It’s All About the Journey

Where did you travel this year? Did it move or change you?

I’ve never been much of the travel guy. Taking family trips during the summer has been the biggest extent of my traveling days.  We would go to Florida and Georgia to visit relatives. A few trips to Disney World. A trip with a couple of friends for a fellow friends’ wedding. But other than that, not a traveling guy.

Last year, I took a small drive with my mom, aunt, uncle, and cousin to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky. I can’t say that it changed me, but it was a fun little getaway.

It was cool to see some different things that you normally wouldn’t see at a zoo. I’ve never been to this aquarium, so it was all new to me.

There was a huge alligator that looked to be the highlight of the place.  He would be 14 feet long if you were to lay him straight out. Can you just imagine that? Even him in that holding tank made him look quite intimidating. Also, felt a bit bad for him as it didn’t look like he could move as well as he would like to.

There was also a cool bridge that you walk across that’s above the shark tank. Nothing too exciting to report there.

So all in all, go visit Newport Aquarium sometime! There’s a plug for them.
