Friends are our chosen family. They have the wonderful capacity to make us laugh till we cry, to hold us up in dark hours and to keep our secrets under lock and key. Tell a friendship story.

I really like that first line that states friends are our chosen family. I know I have counted on my close friends many times to help me and support me, especially with the band that I play in.  They are there to talk with, laugh with, and enjoy whatever time is spent with.  That’s what makes a friendship that’s lasted as long as we have so important.

One Saturday afternoon, I was hanging out at a friend’s house and playing with their two kids in the backyard when we decided to take a trip around the canal on those bikes that you can rent. A spur of the moment decision that worked out quite well.

We got down there, got all settled in, and rode around the canal.  The two kids loved sitting in the front seat of the bike. We talked about everything while riding around.  Got to take in the view of the canal that you normally don’t get to see.

It was a great day weather wise.  The canal was busy, but not too bad. Definitely one of those days that you knew you wanted to get outside and enjoy the weather.

There are already plans in the works to do it again this spring or summer whenever the time will come. It was a great day and one that I look forward to again.
